Position Overview:
The AR Assistant will be responsible for processing accounts receivable information and maintaining reliable records daily. The person will organize and maintain the AR aging and contact customers for payment status. It is also expected that the AR assistant provides support to the Accounting Team on matters involving transactions in the sales stream, such as some invoicing, complaints and returns processing.

Essential Functions:
  • Credit hold verifications and analysis
  • AR mailbox management
  • Customer Price Changes
  • Review/set up new customers
  • Process customer credits
  • Provide customer statements and related documents
  • Provision for Doubtful Customers
  • AR Aging Reporting
  • Collections
  • EDI Invoicing

Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in Accounts Receivable required.
  • Microsoft Office package intermediate/basic level - especially MS Excel

Compensation:
We offer competitive wages commensurate with job skills, experience, education and geographic location. The starting range for this role is $50,000-55,000 plus a 7% bonus opportunity.

This position is onsite in Havre de Grace, MD.
