Position overview:
The HR Generalist provides comprehensive support in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The position carries out responsibilities in payroll processing, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and administrative support, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring efficient HR operations.

We offer competitive wages commensurate with job skills, experience, education and geographic location. The starting range for this role is $60,000 – 70,000 plus a 7% bonus opportunity.

Position overview:
The HR Generalist provides comprehensive support in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. The position carries out responsibilities in payroll processing, benefits administration, recruiting, onboarding, compliance, employee relations, and administrative support, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring efficient HR operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Payroll and Data Management:
- Process and input payroll (PR) into the ADP system on a weekly basis.
- Enter new hire information, wage changes, benefits updates, and garnishment orders into the ADP database.
- Greet all visitors and guests in a professional and pleasant manner; manage incoming calls and the company’s phone system.
- Respond promptly and professionally to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, procedures, and programs.
- Assist in recruiting efforts, including sourcing, screening, and selecting hourly candidates to fill open positions.
- Conduct new hire orientations to integrate employees into the organization and foster positive attitudes toward company goals.
- Assist in enrolling new hires in the Benefits Program and in E-Verify and ACA websites.
- Manage the hourly attendance tracking program, ensuring accurate and timely recordkeeping.
- Assist in preparing, maintaining, and filing Short-Term Disability (STD), Long-Term Disability (LTD), and Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) claims and reports.
- Maintain HR correspondence and administrative materials, ensuring organization and confidentiality.
- Process and distribute incoming and outgoing mail for the HR department.
- Prepare and process reports for HR, Production, and Accounting departments as needed.
- Perform additional duties and projects as assigned by the HR Manager/Director to support department and company goals.
- Primarily office environment with occasional movement through manufacturing floor.
- Must be able to sit and work on a computer for extended periods.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in an HR support role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with ADP payroll and HR systems required.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
